The higher the payout of the offer, the more expensive will be testing and analytics of traffic. In order to understand whether the chosen offer will convert, you need to make at least a couple of conversions as a result of testing.
Here it’s simple – if there are no conversions at all, it means that we have not hit the audience, we have chosen a wrong traffic source or the offer itself. If we see conversions as a result of the first tests – we can already see where the conversion came from and optimize the traffic.
Thus, if you immediately start working with offers that pay $100-$200, you’ll need a budget of about $300+ just for the first test at the stage of testing the offer and the site. Not the fact that at this stage you will get any conversions at all and be able to get back at least part of the money. The chances are great that your result will be zero. On this I advise to heed the further recommendations and not to do anything stupid.
For beginners, it is better to choose offers with a simple targeting action and low cost per conversion.
What is the difference between complex and simple conversions?
It’s the complexity of implementing the targeted action that the advertiser requires. Let me give you some examples to make it easier to understand the criteria based on which the difficulty of the conversion is determined.
Very Difficult: Approved credit, closed job, taking a training course
Difficult: Confirmation of purchase by phone, payment upon receipt, making a deposit
Regular: Registration with confirmation by email, correctly filled in application for a product or service.
Easy: Installing *.exe, *.apk, browser toolbar, subscribing
The simpler the target action – the easier it is to achieve, everything is simple, but one offer can have multiple target actions. For credit offers the bank can pay you $1 for a valid credit or loan application, or $100 for a loan (the amounts are abstract, but close to real).
A valid application is a story when all the fields on the application form are filled out correctly, and the data on the application is not fictitious and is the data of a real person interested in the loan, who has not previously applied. The nuance is that the application can refuse to approve the loan / credit. During the process of registration may request a certificate of income tax, or ask to come to the bank physically. The applicant may change his/her mind and not follow through with the application.

Why is it a good choice in our situation?
Installs can be divided into several categories and compared to each other. Personally, I see three areas: mobile installs, desktop installs and browser installs. As for mobile installations, this is only IOS or Android traffic, sometimes java/symbian, which immediately introduces restrictions on the choice of traffic source. Desktop installs are also limitations, but only windows OS.
Browser installs are suitable for mobile and desktop devices, work on windows, macOS, android platforms, and installation and reaching the target action is a single click. To get the first conversions and data for analytics – it is enough to spend just a couple of bucks. The result will already be very clear. Until you spend 2-3 conversions, it’s impossible to judge about the effectiveness of your traffic and its profitability.
Which traffic source is right for us?
